This week in worship:
As your webmaster is looking at a busy month of travel approaching, the worship schedule for the month is as follows:

July 4-
Dr. George Lankford is preaching a sermon entitled "A National Prophet" on Luke 7:24-28, 31-35.  Clerk of session Hope Spragins is serving as liturgist.  Ceil Smith is providing a piano solo.

July 11- Rev. Leslie Roper is preaching a sermon entitled "What Would Mr. Rogers Do?" on Luke 10:25-37.  Lucy Yeager is serving as liturgist.  Megan Creech is providing special music.

July 18- Rev. Dr. Robert Lowry is preaching a sermon entitled "Of Pride, Prejudice and Punishment" on Amos 8:1-12.  Betty Adams is serving as liturgist.  Andrea and Lynn Weatherman are providing special music.

July 25- Rev. Dr. Robert Lowry is preaching a sermon entitled "The Fine Line Between Love and Hate" on Hosea 1:2-12.  Elder Max McElmurry is serving as liturgist.

Our denomination's General Assembly begins meeting Saturday July 3rd in Minneapolis, MN.  Our own Rev. Dr. Robert Lowry will be taking part in this important meeting.  Keep all those who are traveling and the Assembly itself in your prayers!

Our Presbytery's Youth Mission Trip also beings Saturday July 3rd.  The youth are traveling to Texas City, Texas, to work with the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Gulf Coast rebuilding efforts.  Our own Leslie Roper, Bryan Howard, Terran Jones, and Erin Richards are participating.  Keep them and the rest of their group in your prayers.

FPC's Youth will be attending the Presbyterian Triennium, a national gathering of Presbyterian youth which takes place every three years at Purdue University from July 19 through 24.  Our own Cameron Highsmith is helping to lead this group and FPC youth Lauren Cambias, David Cox, Hannah Dutrisac and Erin Richards are attending.  Keep them in your prayers.

FPC's Youth
will be attending Montreat Youth Conference from July
24 through July 31st with the group from the Presbytery.  Our own Leslie Roper and Cameron Highsmith are helping to lead this group, and FPC youth Lauren Cambias, Terran Jones, Alita Mobley, Ned Mobley, Jake Pitts, and Erin Richards are attending.  Keep this group in your prayers.

Mark your calendars now- Vacation Bible School is taking place Sunday, August 1 through Wednesday, August 4 from 5:30 to 8:30 in the evening.  Let Leslie know if you are interested in volunteering!
