Service Witness / Outreach
“Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him,
“Go And Do Likewise.”
As God calls us to show mercy to our neighbor, First Presbyterian Church gives back to its community. From Angel Tree/Santas for Seniors and Our Father's Table, to donating items to local charities, the congregation finds hands-on ways to help others. We have weekly Bible Studies located in historic Morrow Hall.
Through our Service Witness Committee, we support ministries that are local (like Help and Hope and Family Violence Prevention), ministries of our state (like our Presbytery missions and the Vera Lloyd Home) and ministries around the world (like Heifer International). The Outreach Committee supports Meals on Wheels by preparing food for distribution to cover weekend meals for the recipients. We invite you to come and find your way to follow Jesus’ command to “Go and Do Likewise”!
